A Grizedale residency for Karolin Schwab and Ben Allan
For this film commissioned by The Royal Society of Sculptors in September 2019 I was asked to follow the work of 2 sculptors for a residency based in Grizedale forest. It was a great pleasure to follow these artists exploring this lovely backwater of the Lake District and to see what inspiration could be drawn from it. For Karolin Schwab it was a great contrast to her native Berlin and also a similar experience for London based Ben Allan but within days both acclimatised and were soon fully engaged in their journey of discovery.
