Nurture Lakeland shoot in Mallerstang

Taking Lady Ann Clifford's Highway up into the snow we found our quest. The beautiful 'Watercut' sculpted by Mary Bourne that sybolises the lovely Eden River. Just above this a monster snow cornice collapsed leaving avalanche debris all over the fellside. Not a usual phenomenon in the Pennines. Although appearing still in the grip of mid winter I was stunned to see my first swallow of the year. Poor soul. There can't be much to feed on.
